The Vegetarian Festival was created and organized by Biolab, One of the Italian companies specialised in the production of vegetarian and vegan food. It aims at promoting the cultural awareness and has been supported by private contributions of many Italian companies specialised in the biological sector.

In 2011 the event was really successful: over 10,000 visitors, 60 stands of Italian and Slovenian exhibitors, 20 partners, games and entertainment for children and families, cultural experts such as doctors, writers and environmentalists. All these people were supporting the Vegetarian motto: ethic, environment, health.

Some national newspapers reported articles about our event, such as La Repubblica, Corriere della Sera and national TV channels as RAI 1: our site was visited by more than 15,000 people in 3 months and our Facebook page reached 11,500 fans, with a monthly average increase of 850 people.
