Born in Paris in 1986, after moving to Rome, and earning her Master’s Degree in Political Science, Raffaella Tolicetti embarked on one of Sea Shepherd’s ships in the Mediterranean. In four years, she has become a chef aboard the Steve Irwin, the Bob Barker and finally the Sam Simon, and has participated in campaigns against whaling in Antarctica, for the protection of the Bluefin tuna in the Mediterranean and in defence of pilot whales in the Faroe Islands. She wrote the first book on vegan cuisine and activism, Think! Eat! Act!, with about eighty vegan recipes, tips for a vegan diet, information on factory farms, interviews and articles on various campaigns in defence of animals and the environment worldwide.
