Also in 2013 the Vegetarian Festival has some very special events dedicated to children.
Thanks to the renewed collaboration with the Science Center Immaginario Scientifico, six Workshop Kids will be held in the three days of the Festival: these workshops are based on the edutainment formula and children will learn the secrets of three foods: cereals, vegetables and fruit. Places for the workshops are limited, but can be booked at this link, and will be available in italian only.
Immediately after the workshops, at 5pm, three films dedicated to young audiences will be screened at the Kinemax, for the NoImpact Cinema series. “Costruisci i Tuoi Giocattoli” (Build your own toys) by Roberto Papetti, rediscovers DIY toys with which generations of children have played; the documentary "One life" directed by Michael Gunton is about the beauty of biodiversity on the planet earth; "Turtle: The Incredible Journey" is Nick Stringer’s film about the journey of sea turtles from Florida, to the Azores, to the Caribbean.
Children (and adults too!), while strolling peacefully through Piazza della Vittoria, may also come across Lucia and Santosh’s Casa degli Gnomi (House of the Gnomes), a magical castle full of cunning gnomes, legendary spaces and incredible stories.
