Mission

The main purpose of the Festival is to promote a way of life based on the respect and the protection of the rights of all living creatures, on a sustainable and - no less important - ethical development.

Over the last few years the Festival - starting from an approach based on food-related topics - has widened its sphere of activity, including topics such as environmental protection and sustainability, to share also the values of the promoting company: Biolab, the Italian company specialised in the manufacturing of vegetarian and vegan food.

We are aware of our choices and our aims: we want to create a great event with a view to raising our audience’s awareness and causing a great cultural impact. "We must involve also common people", says Massimo Santinelli - the director of the Vegetarian Festival- with tongue in cheek - "because they represent our target, or - at least - the target of this Festival. The event addresses not only vegan and vegetarian people, but also common people who - for many reasons - have never looked at things from a different perspective. Usually, common people have never tried to change just one of their habits: however, we are convinced that this change would have a positive impact not only on their well-being but also on our natural environment.

This is the basic approach of our Festival: meeting and discussing with cultural experts can positively contribute to raise people's awareness and - at a later stage- to cause a radical change in their way of life.
